My Boys

so today while watching the kids play I was watching my two boys.  One who is very tall, a spitting image of his father, a gamer, easy going and gentle, and a mama’s boy.  And then my other one who is very dark complexion, very competitive, also shy, a quick temper, yet lovable, and a daddy’s boy.  Yet they both come from the same parents and yet so different but they love each other and make their personalities work.  I took some pictures to portrait my thoughts.  To my two sweet boys who will forever be brothers together.DSCF1492 DSCF1493 DSCF1490 DSCF1489 DSCF1491

Piedmont experience

So today Daniel and Suzy came from Ogden to spend the night so I thought it would be fun to go somewhere new or in this case old.  We stopped and got some water and treats and headed out of town.  The clouds were building up and the thunder and lightning was getting stronger in the direction we wanted to go.  After taking the wrong exit, then missing the right exit we turned around and found the dirt road to our destination.  The kids were a little concerned about the rain coming and especially the lightning.  Our first encounter was with a badger, the kids thought he was way cool, but a little ugly.  After a 10 min ride on the dirt road with me thinking  “if I get a flat tire, who would come out and help us???”  Finally arriving at the kilns, the kids thought it was cool.2010_0804may-aug20100211     They found some different animals,      2010_0804may-aug20100219 bats, dead bats, almost dead bats, a little bird.    2010_0804may-aug20100215  The kilns were interesting           2010_0804may-aug20100209 then we 2010_0804may-aug20100213 2010_0804may-aug20100212 2010_0804may-aug20100220 2010_0804may-aug20100210 2010_0804may-aug20100221 2010_0804may-aug20100222 headed up to the town,2010_0804may-aug20100223 or the remnants of the town,2010_0804may-aug201002312010_0804may-aug20100228 2010_0804may-aug20100226 there more animals, 2010_0804may-aug20100227 a bunny rabbit and a big dead bird.   2010_0804may-aug20100214 The rain came in bits, 2010_0804may-aug20100225 but we had fun and enjoyed the adventure and yes, we did make it home safely.

Later in the evening we headed down by the pond with the intend to walk, but they were still renting

boats and canoes.  So Duane took the three youngest and headed out on the paddle boat

and soon they realized they weighed too much to much with the boat, DSCF1454 DSCF1453

so the kid at the boats jumped into the canoe and took took casey and carson out DSCF1455 DSCF1456 DSCF1458

and Duane and Bryan were able to paddle back were they all got into the canoe and were able to enjoy a nice canoe trip around the

pond.  After that we continued our walk and came across a kid who caught a crawdad, yuck, they are ugly

and we also caught a small garter snake.  To end the great day we got shakes at mcdonalds.

a trip to Bear Lake…

DSCF1382 On the way there we had to stop for road construction a mile from our exit for 10 mins.  Alexis got bored and took some pictures.
