Piedmont experience

So today Daniel and Suzy came from Ogden to spend the night so I thought it would be fun to go somewhere new or in this case old.  We stopped and got some water and treats and headed out of town.  The clouds were building up and the thunder and lightning was getting stronger in the direction we wanted to go.  After taking the wrong exit, then missing the right exit we turned around and found the dirt road to our destination.  The kids were a little concerned about the rain coming and especially the lightning.  Our first encounter was with a badger, the kids thought he was way cool, but a little ugly.  After a 10 min ride on the dirt road with me thinking  “if I get a flat tire, who would come out and help us???”  Finally arriving at the kilns, the kids thought it was cool.2010_0804may-aug20100211     They found some different animals,      2010_0804may-aug20100219 bats, dead bats, almost dead bats, a little bird.    2010_0804may-aug20100215  The kilns were interesting           2010_0804may-aug20100209 then we 2010_0804may-aug20100213 2010_0804may-aug20100212 2010_0804may-aug20100220 2010_0804may-aug20100210 2010_0804may-aug20100221 2010_0804may-aug20100222 headed up to the town,2010_0804may-aug20100223 or the remnants of the town,2010_0804may-aug201002312010_0804may-aug20100228 2010_0804may-aug20100226 there more animals, 2010_0804may-aug20100227 a bunny rabbit and a big dead bird.   2010_0804may-aug20100214 The rain came in bits, 2010_0804may-aug20100225 but we had fun and enjoyed the adventure and yes, we did make it home safely.
