So Carson started his first day of 4th grade. His friend came over in the morning and they ran off to catch the bus together. I feel so sad that he didn’t want me to walk him to the bus stop. I guess he is growing up. After he left I took Casey to her neurology appointment for her migraines. They took some blood and we got the results back, I don’t think it is good when the dr. calls and leaves a message at 7:30 in the morning the very next day. Her iron levels are extremely low. So I need to get her a vitamin that has iron. It is hard to find kids vitamins with iron and especially one she will take. Now that everyone is at school and I don’t have work I am going to start getting my sewing and craft classes going and work on selling stuff. So much to do, but excited to get it going. I know this is what I am suppose to do.

Philmont visit
We left early in the morning and headed to Philmont. It took us just over 3 hours, so much closer then 11 hours. We had a great time. While at the museum I ran into my friend Michelle, from when I worked there 17 years ago. It was the greatest. She is living in Cimarron and still teaching in Raton. So glad we can keep in touch now. It was liking coming home as we drove into Philmont. For anyone who doesn’t know what Philmont is, it is the greatest place on earth, but besides that it is a High adventure base camp for Boy Scouts. people and scouts come from all over the world to go there. I worked there for 5 years. The best times.
We toured the Villa…great mempries of when we got married 17 years ago. Still as beautiful.
Trip to the Albuquerque Zoo
So I took the kids to the zoo because they start school on the 10th. It was a fun and long day. We arrived bright and early and headed to the train to go go over to the Aquarium and the Gardens. We watched the elephants play.
We went to the Gardens and went exploring. Lots of fun. They had a a really cool place for the kids to play.
Inside a giant pumpkin….
Next stop was the Butterfly Gardens. Way cool butterflies.
Next we headed over to the Aquarium.
After taking the train back to the zoo we headed to the Giraffes. If anyone knows Casey has a complete love for them since she was way little. On the way to the zoo she said “I think the Giraffes miss me, because I missed them.” She and Carson were able to feed them. What an amazing thing for her, she was in heaven.
Next we had lunch and then headed out to look at the rest of the zoo. Most of these next pictures were taken by Carson. He really wanted a chance to be creative. He did a great job.
The camera died, but overall we had a great day.
