We wanted to cut down our own tree, a tradition we have had for many years.  The last few years haven’t been so successful, but we decided that one of the advantages about being in New Mexico for this holiday season was 1- No snow  2- NO freezing temperatures  3- No 4 feet of snow to trudge through.

So we drove (just a note ALexis drove us there) up to the mountains.  I must say it was very nice and very comforting to be in the mountains.  We forged through the mud from the current rain storm and found our way to the right spot.  And low and behold there was snow.  It was just the perfect amount.  We hunted through tree after tree but this one kept calling our name.  It was a fun trip and no one got car sick ( and that is saying A LOT).  Now to decorate it.
