Our Fall Break…

So to start our fall break wondering what we would do….like relax and enjoy it.  NOT….Weds night while relaxing and waiting for dinner be done, Bryan comes running in carrying Carson yelling he broke his wrist.  I took one look and yelled at Duane to grab him and lets go to the ER.  Sitting in the back seat with Carson who has a huge bloody nose with paper towel soaked in blood and a wrist that I didn’t know could look like that.  We get checked in and wait and wait….

Yes it looked really scary.  But the amazing thing is he didn’t cry and not any pain medicine.  After xrays and stuff they decided they just needed to move it a little to align the bone.  It was a painful move but he stayed strong.

Today we went to the orthopedic specialist and they checked on it and wanted to cast it.  But instead of being a straight out casting they had to do traction and then cast it.  First they had to numb the area, that was painful.  The spot under his wrist is not blood just the iodine.

After being in traction for 10 mins, they pulled on the bone to align it.  Yes as you all squirm it was very painful, he cried but just a little.

Now on to the cast.

So that is how we start our “Fall Break” I advise everyone not the way to do it.

up in the sky..

So I was heading towards my dr. appt. and the sky was filled with balloons.  It was way cool.  I had Alexis take some pictures from the deck of our house.  I am so excited for this week.

Since this is our first October in Albuquerque we are bracing for the International Balloon Festival.  To start it off they had a balloon aloft at Caron’s school.  All over the valley Balloonists go to elementary schools and set off a few balloons. I am so looking forward to the sky being full of balloons for a week.

The wind was strong that they couldn’t get the balloons up. It took all their strength to keep them grounded

website info..

craftsbythehandful.com is the site for my website. Still working on a few things but at least it is out in the world wide web now...scary.

Change is happening..

well just a quick update. So much has been happening here in our family. A lot of medical issues, but we take those day by day. As of today my website is officially up for my classes . Because of all the things going on in the family I have a later sart with my classes then planned. I am excited to start. The next big step is to get my flyer out, also will be doing craft shows to sell and promote items. As for now I take one breathe at a time and not dwell on the what if's in life. Everyone is slowly adjusting to life here in New Mexico. The weather actually is starting to cool down, so we are loving it.
