Amarillo by morning….

Saturday  morning we woke up bright and early and left by 5:30 am to head to Amarillo, TX to visit HF and the family.  Our  first stop was  Krispy Kreme doughnuts to load up on fresh hot doughnuts and hit the road.  It was a beautiful cold morning. After a couple of stops was arrived about 4 1/2 hours later.  It was great to see family.  The kids were very quick at exchanging gifts from each other.  I am very excited about my gift…another nativity set to add to my collection this one is Charlie Brown and the crew.  Yeah.  So the girls went and did some shopping, the kids went to the park and guys played video games.  When we got back we packed dinner and headed out to “Car Henge” just on the outskirts of Amarillo.  The kids had a blast spray painting to their hearts were content, they painted car, the ground and few even painted themselves (not on purpose but the wind was blowing).  We had a lot of fun and took some fun pictures.  AFter that we headed to the stadium for a basketball game with western texas A & M.  We stayed till half time and headed back to the house to get some more family time in.  Finally after lots of goodbyes we made it out the door and headed back to ABQ.  We got home about 12:30am, not so bad.  Alexis got some good driving time in.  The great thing is that we will see everyone again in 2 weeks.  It is always great to see family.
